The first meeting of the ACSAD’s national coordinators in the Arab countries was held at the headquarters of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD) in Damascus during 26 and 27 of May 2010 .
Dr. Rafik Ali SALEH, Director-General of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD) delivered a speech on this occasion in which he spoke about the importance of the mission of the national coordinators in their respective countries and explained that the national coordinators serve as ambassadors for ACSAD in their countries.
At the end of the meeting the national coordinators adopted a number of recommendations.
